1. Can I purchase cel artwork through this site?
A: You cannot purchase artwork directly through this website. There is no online store. Please use the email inquiry form to inquire about a production cel.
2. How do I find out more about a specific cel?
A: If you click a cel thumbnail, it will take you to a specific cel detail page. Here you will find information about that specific cel. Under the cel info, you will find a "Inquire about this" button. Simply click on the button and it will take you to an email form where you can ask questions about the cel.
3. The video won’t play when I open the site – why not?
A: Perhaps try refreshing the page or opening the page in another browser. Also, please download the latest version of your media player. If it continues to not play for you, please contact your administrator.
4. What is the purpose of Nelvana Art Editions?
A: Nelvana Studios is proudly opening its animation art archives for the first time in over 35 years. The studio is featuring original hand-painted animation cels, drawings, as well as gouache and watercolour backgrounds, including full keyed set-ups. Our celebrated selection of animation art have been hand selected from the television series: Babar, Jim Lee’s WildC.A.T.s, and Rock and Rule.
The studio's first feature film Rock & Rule, a cult favourite will also be featured with a release of original drawings, cels and backgrounds.
Here you will find information on the vast library of animation cels that are available to own and how you can start collecting what will one day be priceless pieces of animation history.
5. Why is there a red dot next to some of the smaller images?
A: This red dot indicates that a cel has been sold and is no longer available.
6. Why is there an indication of "sold" for some of the cels if I can't buy one of the cels off the site?
A: Purchase of individual cels may be arranged directly through Nelvana. Please use the email form associated with each cel to inquire about purchase and sale.
